Techno Artists
Techno is a
popular form of Electronic Dance Music (EDM). Techno emerged
during the mid to late 1980's in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
However it wasn't until 1988 that the word "techno" was first
publicly used in reference to a genre of music. Many styles of
techno exist today but Detroit techno is seen as the foundation
upon which a number of sub-genres have been built.
Today there are many techno
artists as it is a very popular genre of music. Below are

Although techno has
occasionally produced commercially successful mainstream
artists, eg. Underworld & Orbital, the genre has also
affected many other areas of music and artists in a significant
way. Many established artists such as Madonna & U2
have dabbled in techno music to appear relevant.
Although such artists have rarely displayed evidence of a
genuine understanding and appreciation of techno's
origins.
"Born Slippy" A great
song by techno artists Underworld - one of the more
commercially successful UK techno artists.
